The 2014 Fair Trade Fayre at Loughborough Town Hall will bring the very best selection of fairly traded crafts, gifts, jewellery, fashions and foods to local shoppers, in plenty of time for Christmas. The Fayre takes place in the Victoria Room at Loughborough Town Hall on Saturday 8th November, from 10am to 4pm.
The list of stallholders confirmed for this year include delicious edibles from ‘Alethia Foods’ and ‘Zaytoun’; silk crafts from Fairtrade Interiors; gifts and jewellery from ‘Created’, ‘Traidcraft’, ‘Elefair’ and ‘Waywood Fairtrade’; clothes from ‘Annie Greenabelle’; bath and body treats from ‘Neal’s Yard’ . . . to name but a few! Well known local names at the Fayre include Sileby’s The Green Place, Loughborough’s Glebe House and Fair Trading Loughborough.
“This year we have a fantastic range of Fairtrade and ethical crafts, gifts, accessories and foods,” explained Jenny Drury, Chair of Charnwood Action for Fairtrade, the local campaigns group organising the event. “The Fayre is a great way to buy some high quality and unusual Christmas gifts and treats – whilst also helping producers and farmers in developing countries. So come along and experience for yourself the high quality and vast range of fairly traded goods now available.”
The event usually attracts around 1,000 shoppers throughout the day, is free to attend and runs from 10am to 4pm
